Scream Team Members Wanted!

Do you enjoy scaring people? Are you a Halloween fanatic who looks forward to the haunting season all year long? Are you 18 years or older? If so, we may be looking for you!

We're interested to have you join our team for this Halloween season. We're looking for closeted and experienced actors and haunt enthusiasts to help us scare the wits out of folks in The Asylum Haunted House. We are needing actors to fill character roles. We are also looking for creative individuals to help with set design, makeup, special fx, prop building, costuming, as well as other business aspects of running a haunt.

The role of a volunteer requires a positive attitude, team playing and a desire to do your best. Working in a haunted house can be both fun and rewarding. We look for volunteers that can show up on time, work evenings and weekends, have transportation to and from the haunt, and most importantly have some love of the genre. If you've always wanted to dress up as scary monster, be someone else and run around scaring the daylights out of people volunteering as an actor/actress may be the opportunity for you. This is a serious business, but we are also serious about having fun!

Our season runs every Friday & Saturday in month of October. Keep in mind this job isn't for everyone. It's not as easy as it sounds, but if you're into scaring people in a fun environment, you will have experiences and create memories you will enjoy for the rest of your life!

Be sure to include any relevant experience, indicating the nights you will be available and specifying the position in which you are most interested. Once you've submitted your request be sure to send a request to be added to our Facebook Group. The Facebook Group is our main means of communication as we need to relay quite a bit of information throughout the year to numerous volunteers.

PRE-SEASON: Setup will start as soon as we gain access to the building and will be working most Friday & Saturdays. We will also be working other day/times depending on worker availability. If you can't make it on a weekend you may be able to help out other times during the week (typically after 6 pm). Workdays and times will be communicated to the group via our Facebook Group page.

Feel free to invite your friends and family to volunteer--we never have enough help! You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer without a parent. All volunteers under the age 18 must have their volunteer form signed. Print the volunteer form and bring with you first time you volunteer or bring your parent with you to sign your liability waiver form. ID and proof guardianship required.

• Old clothes, shorts--anything you don't mind getting dirty or paint on! PLEASE wear closed toe shoes!

• Please NO sandals or flip flops!
• Volunteers need to dress in dark clothing. You CAN wear T-shirts.
• Please wear dark or black pants or jeans
• Be sure to wear dark, comfortable shoes--dark sneakers or boots are best.
• If you have a Halloween costume that you wish to wear, please contact the House Manager and/or Art Director to see if it fits in with the theme of the haunt. We will try to accommodate you.
